About

Scott serves as the Executive Director for the Committee for Dulles (CFD).  He joined the Committee for Dulles in 2019 as a member of the Board of Directors. He was appointed Interim Executive Director in March 2020 and then named Executive Director later that year.
Before January 2016, Scott dedicated twenty-four years to public service in Loudoun County. He first served as the Sterling District Planning Commissioner, then as the Sterling District representative on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, and later as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for sixteen years.
During his tenure, Loudoun County became one of America's leading economic development success stories. Scott's leadership helped position Loudoun as a major technology location, an international investment hub, and the home of Washington, D.C.'s wine country. His emphasis on fiscal management helped maintain Loudoun's AAA rating while the county expanded road infrastructure, built more than forty schools, and prepared for Metrorail's arrival.
He worked closely with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority to help ensure appropriate development around the airport and has been recognized by regional organizations for his years of public service and support of Dulles.
