Join us at the 2026 Tower of Dulles Awards Gala to commemorate the Committee for Dulles’ 60th anniversary and honor the individuals and organizations whose contributions strengthen the Committee and Washington Dulles International Airport.
The celebration will take place at the JW Marriott Reston Station from 6:00 to 10:00 PM, with overnight accommodations available. The evening will feature presentations of the Tower of Dulles Award, the David A. Edwards Community Service Award, and the Hal Launders Award. The Tower of Dulles Award will be presented to the National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center to recognize and honor the Center’s staff, retail associates, and volunteers for creating an exceptional learning experience.
The David A. Edwards Community Service Award will be presented to the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation in recognition of exceptional community support through $128 million in contributions statewide to nonprofits and programs advancing education, youth leadership, healthcare, disability and mental health, and human services. The Hal Launders Award will be presented to Howard Lansat for his years of outstanding photography support to the Committee for Dulles.
At the end of the awards presentation, we will hold the popular ticket giveaway with our Diamond Sponsor, United Airlines, offering two sets of first/business class certificates to two lucky winners. One set is valid for travel within the U.S. 48, Alaska, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, or Central America. The other set is valid for those same destinations, as well as Hawaii or Europe.
